* CSS3 (selectors, @font-face, 2D Transforms, Transitions, Shadow, Gradients ,calculations – calc(2em-10px) )
* APIs: Geolocation, Offline (IndexDB, localStorage, AppCache, FileAPI – binary content of a file input, file drag and drop, web workers, websockets)
* Websockets controller running the presentation from the mobile.
* WebGL

Twhirl on Ubuntu 8.10

I am just experimenting these days with Ubuntu 8.10, installed quite a bit of apps, tried different themes, but today got Twhirl working on my machine. Thought you people might be interested.

1. First you need to download Adobe AIR from http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/air_linux.html

2. Install Adobe AIR

root:~/adobe$ chmod +x adobeair_linux_b1_091508.bin

rppt:~/adobe$ ./adobeair_linux_b1_091508.bin

3. After installing Adobe Air download Twhirl from http://www.twhirl.org/project/twhirl

4. Open the Twhirl application with Adobe Air and here you go, Twhirl is installed.

Snackr: RSS feed aggregator

Snackr is a simple little RSS ticker built in Adobe AIR. It’s an RSS ticker that pulls random items from your feeds and scrolls them across your desktop. When you see a title that looks interesting, you can click on it to pop up the item in a window.

Snackr was built in-house at Adobe by Flex team member Narciso Jaramillo.

Google Reader POC Version 1.0

I was just wondering how google has progressed from its search engine to creating new icons for IT world. One of them was the google reader, i found this very interesting how the google reader caters to everybody needs. I am working on doctors & surgeons social networking site, there the client came up with an idea to implement google reader in the project to show users about the updates that they have in their baskets. I was chosen to create a POC(Proof of Concepts) for that. I took that as a challenge and created one very basic version of it. Here i would like to share with you the POC and the code.
